Crumbled Walls, Bad Laws, and a Dead Man

Time to Stop Crying....

Action, boldness, courage, passion, sacrifice, dedication, and faith will be the fuel...”

Last week (Weds, Thurs, Fri – April 11-13), I was part of an awesome conference lead by Federation of Ministers and Churches International ( http://www.fmci.org/ ) and International Leadership Embassy ( http://www.ile-dc.org/ ). This was a meaningful time of connecting, receiving insights, and engaging as God's ecclesia in this moment of history. Dr. Wm Hope Taylor of I.L.E. started Weds night sharing from the shift in national leadership in I Sam. 16. God asked the prophet Samuel, “How long will you grieve/mourn...?”. The national leadership had went off course and there had to be a change in the executive office. In order for the prophetic leader at that time to hear from God, follow direction, and identify/mantel that next leader, he had to find a way beyond the grief, the ache, the let down, the mourning. It was time to step up and rise to the responsibility of the moment and set in new leadership .

Its interesting to look at the moments in scripture that calls us beyond mourning and into engagement/action. We see God calling Samuel beyond morning and into the action of identifying and anointing a new leader. Then, we see Nehemiah (Nehemiah 1:4) sitting, weeping, and mourning at the loss/destruction of his country. Again, a national crises had caused a deep sense of heartache and disillusionment. Nehemiah had to make an important decision; sit there mourning or step up and do what was needed to bring forth solutions. We can also see in Esther 4:1 that Mordecai was broken and crying bitterly when he learned of the death decree set in his nation. He responded in prayer and had to pick himself up to engage the issue and also involve others (Esther/her generation) so a strategy could emerge to win the day. Jesus even wept (Jn 11:35). Yet, He stepped forward to call forth life and broke the hold of death/darkness. Also, we find John in Revelation 5 weeping as no one is seen as able to open a scroll of what is to happen moving forward. Here is what I see as the important part for the generations to embrace; an elder in Revelation 5:5 says to John, “weep no more...!” Last Weds I heard Dr. Taylor restate this directive of the Lord. We are at a place that God is saying to us, “weep no more”. This is a critical time where we must see God has a way out of the mess we find our nation in, but we need the generations to rise, stop the mourning, and emerge to be part of the solution. We get to participate in the victory of Christ. He has been found able and has conquered Rev 5:5). He can open in our nation what has not been able to be opened. He has the breakthrough needed in this moment. He is calling the generations to anoint/mantel the leadership required to lead us from tyranny, decline, chaos, and brokenness.

Samuel had to go “look” for the one to lead in a proper direction. God's people must “look/search/research” candidates that can be mantled to lead us forward in righteousness and justice. Nehemiah had to leave his post as cup bearer and step forward to lead a movement to rebuild. Those younger and older are being called beyond their current positions and into leading efforts that will rebuild broken cities/nation (Isa. 61:4). Mordecai was at the gate of the king interceding, praying for God's hand to move and shift the death structures set in place. His prayer opened the door for generational synergy to lead the way for the strategies that put Haman on his own gallows. Then Mordecai and Esther (older and younger) rewrote the decrees that set the course of the future (Esther 8:8). We must have both younger and older being the torches of prayer engaging the spiritual enemies of liberty and righteousness. More and more prayer must rise to clear the path forward. Jesus released the word needed that brought resurrection to the dead/bleak situation. God's people must be the ones releasing a word in a bleak situation that will bring life and light breaking forth. Its time for the weeping to end and our engagement to rise! The heartache is an accurate response to the crises, but mourning will not bring resolution. Action, boldness, courage, passion, sacrifice, dedication, and faith will be the fuel to the engagement needed to turn the tables and return a nation to the path of liberty, blessing, and glory of God! What is your part? How will you get beyond hating the way things are and get into changing things?

I am using these blogs to share more of what my book, GENERATIONAL SYNERGY, is calling the people of God into concerning how generations relate, engage together, and serve each other. The major thrust at the core of the book is the Biblical charge for generations to “build”. To be the modern day “Nehemiah's” that recognize the condition of the nation and culture and respond to be those that set things right. We are in a very important year in America (2012). It is so important that those younger and older rise as a Kingdom Generation dreaming the dreams of the Kingdom and taking action for a more glorious day. Please utilize these Prayer Points and Strategies developed by Jim Hodges, founder of FMCI

2012 ELECTION YEAR PRAYER POINTS AND STRATEGY
1. Pray the Church will pray! Only the Lord God can save America and turn us back to Him.
2. Pray the Supreme Court will rule constitutionally on the Obama Health Care Law.
3. Pray that pastors and ministers will have the courage to declare the citizenship rights of the followers of Christ.
4. Pray for candidates for public office on every level who can present a clear vision for our nation’s future and implement solutions for our complex problems.
5. Pray for the House and Senate members to have courage to implement righteous legislation.
6. Pray and promote local elections for mayors, city councils, county commissioners, school boards.
7. Pray our citizens can discern truth from media propaganda.
8. Pray against a call for marital law in response to a contrived crisis in the world or in our nation. (This could suspend any election). Pray against any terrorists attacks on us especially this year.
9. Pray for states to enforce voter ID requirement in order to minimize voter fraud with ‘dead’ people and non-citizens voting.
10. Pray for the restraint of racial strife and of violence in the streets of our nation.
11. Pray that fund-raising efforts for anti-American policies will decline.
12. Pray against the demonic anointing that functions in some current political and religious leaders.

THE STRATEGY: (1) assign intercession teams to adopt certain prayer points and (2) encourage pastors to carve out a segment of Sunday morning services to pray these points--perhaps one point for 12 Sundays.
