“... that in everything Jesus might be preeminent.” (Col. 1:18)
It's amazing to consider that in everything Jesus is preeminent, Greek word – proteuo; first or held in first place. Jesus is central and first! Creation in its totality is for Him. You exist for Him. Trees, water, air, stars, computers, guitars, cars, iPads, animals, buildings, cultures, art, systems and all that is exists by/through Him and for Him (Col. 1:16-17).
The objective of eternity is for His honor and to reveal His glory. The generations are to rise synergistically to reveal Him and all that He has done. The goal of the generations must be to know Him and make Him known. In each life, family, culture, society, and nation, He is to be made known and His victory expressed.
What Jesus achieved, for His sake and His glory, was the display of evil's weakness, frailty, and inability to prevail. He made a public show and openly revealed how and why darkness can not be in control (Col. 2:15). We are now the ambassadors of His victory! As those in Christ (keepers of His covenant, citizens of His Kingdom, the Redeemed), we live life, develop our families, and spread our influence as an expression that evil/unrighteousness can not be in control. We walk in Christ's triumph and are always able to prevail. He leads us in a triumphant procession, and we spread a fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere (2 Cor. 2:14).
A Kingdom Generations lives from the posture of victory. We are not waiting for victory. Our faith is in the sure foundation of Jesus' finished work. Jesus is victory. No darkness can been found in Him and no darkness can handle Him (1 John 1:5). Those younger and older, that are of His covenant, live, move, and have their being in Jesus (in victory, liberty from darkness/evil) (Acts 17:28). Darkness/evil, the efforts of satan can not control us or work its will. We are no longer bond or captives. Now we are the light that shines among men that makes Him seen and reveals His liberty that is available (John 8:32/Gal. 5:1/Matt. 5:14) . Deception is the only ploy available for the enemy of our souls. When the lights come on, deception is denied, the agenda of destruction is frustrated, and the schemes of satan are revealed as powerless (1 John 1:7/1 Peter 5:8-10).
As men are brought into the light, darkness is pushed back and the outworking of lives becomes the works of righteousness. As more and more discover in Christ that the restrictions, devastation, and chaos of evil is not able to control them, more and more of the fruit of righteousness flourishes in lives, families, culture, and nations (Rev 21:23-24/Col. 1:27). A Kingdom Generation is those younger and older that live out their lives Christ centered and display Him before all men (Matt 5:16).
We are not awaiting a day in the future for His victory to be available. It is available and working currently. History is not in the death grip of darkness, but the strong Right Hand of the Lord has broken its hold. We rise in our freedom and present to all what is available in Jesus and the blessings of His Kingdom (Matt 28:19).
We live to reveal Jesus and His preeminence in all things as He receives the reward of His suffering
(Is 60:1).
